Goodbye 2012

How will you say goodbye to 2012? Was this a year that you want to drop it like it’s hot?  Or was this the type of year that you went all out – Gangnam Style? We’ll capture your thoughts here in a second. It’s hard to imagine that another year is about to be in the rearview mirror. We always look back at the major events and top news stories this time of year, but 2012 seems different. There were so many events that defined the best and worst of humanity. Divisive national issues. Senseless acts of terror. Historical achievements. Below are just a few that registered high on the news and events Richter scale:

Mayan mania. Mother Nature shows her temper with Superstorm Sandy. Spain accepts a Euro bailout. At its highest point the US unemployment rate reaches 8.2%. A record $656 Mega Million jackpot. Lance Armstrong doping. Felix Baumgartner’s record free-fall jump from the edge of space. JP Morgan and the London Whale. Trayvon Martin case. General Petraeus scandal. Facebook finally flops with its IPO. Michael Phelps becomes the most decorated Olympic athlete of all-time. Jerry Sandusky trial. The Supreme Court upholds the major components of Obama Care. Baseball sees its first Triple-Crown winner in 45 years. Whitney Houston. Joe Paterno. Neil Armstrong. Stormin’ Norman Schwarzkopf. America also loses its most famous teenager: Dick Clark. King James quiets his critics and validates The Decision. Sandy Hook Elementary and Aurora, CO movie theatre shooting tragedies. Apple once again proves it has the right (“i”) touch with its launches. Marijuana is legalized in CO. President Obama is re-elected.

How will you remember 2012?  The challenge: write your thoughts below in the comments section in one sentence.

This was the year that I truly found myself and embraced what matters most to me – my family

This is the year where humanity will come together as a team, those who don’t will be lost, emotional growth.

This may cause a Frankenstorm or a fall off the fiscal cliff, but picture this to Pinterest that YOLO, so unless you have Romnesia after looking at binders full of women, than dance Gangham style like no one is watching – McKayla is not impressed!
